SARDENHA
Esta escolha foi muito pensada. Villagio Carovana é um local lindo e com uma energia muito boa, que nos faz sentir bem e é isso mesmo que se pratica aqui: O Bem! Um alojamento turístico numa quinta, com animais, árvores de fruta, horta e a praia perto, que aloja essencialmente pessoas com deficiência (física e mental) e suas famílias, ou então é um local onde as próprias famílias os deixam sozinhos para passar uns dias. Mas nunca ficam sozinhos... pois o nosso trabalho é tomar conta deles.
A Sardenha é um paraíso para os amantes de praias paradisíacas, água quente e muito Sol.

Neste voluntariado não foi pedido nenhum donativo, mas as viagens continuam por conta do voluntário. Em relação ao alojamento, apenas quem gosta de campismo deverá pensar neste workcamp... Éramos 6 voluntárias e ficamos alojadas em tendas, nas traseiras da quinta, um espaço lindo no meio da natureza.
O nosso banho era na rua, com um chuveiro ao ar livre e uma base para os pés. Usavamos as instalações sanitárias da sala principal onde se encontrava o espaço comum entre hóspedes e nós com tv, livros, jogos, etc.
A alimentação era simplesmente deliciosa, não estivessemos nós em Itália... Eram as proprietárias do espaço que cozinhavam, nós ajudávamos e a refeição era partilhada por todos na mesma mesa gigante, quer fossem hóspedes, voluntários, os proprietários ou trabalhadores.
Não havia mesas individuais para nenhuma das refeições, era um momento de partilha e conversa divertida entre todos.

O Trabalho
Nunca tinha trabalhado com pessoas deficientes e foi um desafio. O nosso trabalho passava por controlar se eles faziam a cama, se lavavam os dentes, se tomavam banho, etc. Eram todos autónomos. As atividades ao ar livre passavam por ir com eles à praia e nadar muito de manhã. A tarde era preenchida com, pinturas, música, fazer bolachas, jogos didáticos que estimulasse as suas capacidades. Visitar uma gelataria próxima era a atividade preferida deles... e a nossa!
O Lazer/Divertimento
Para além dos dois dias de folga, ainda fiquei mais 5 dias depois do voluntariado. Aluguei um carro e no primeiro dia fui direta ao norte da ilha. Os dias seguintes até ao regresso foram passados a percorrer toda a costa Oeste da Sardenha. Acho que nunca vi tantos tons de azul no mesmo mar. Quando eu gostava de um local passava a noite. Nada muito programado, aluguei quartos, dormi numa tenda emprestada e até passei uma noite no caroo... ups!
Andei sem destino com a certeza que fiz as melhores escolhas no caminho para Sul. Mais uma vez, para quem é amante de paraísos de sol e mar quente... não podem perder a Fabulosa Sardenha.
This choice was very thought out. Villagio Carovana is a beautiful place with a very good energy, which makes us feel good and that's what we practice here: The Good!
A place in a farm, with animals, fruit trees, vegetable garden and the nearby beach, hosts people with disabilities (physical and mental) and their families, or is a place where families themselves leave them alone to spend a few days . But they are never alone... because our job is to take care of them.
Sardinia is a paradise for lovers of paradisiacal beaches, hot water and lots of sun.
Travel | Accommodation | Food | Donations
In this volunteer, no donation was requested, but travel continues on behalf of the volunteer. In relation to accommodation, only those who like camping should think about this workcamp... We were 6 volunteers and we stayed in tents, at the back of the farm, a beautiful space in the middle of nature.
Our shower was outdoor with a foot base. We used the sanitary facilities of the main room where there was the common space between guests and us with tv, books, games, etc.
The food was simply delicious... Italy...! The owners of the space cooked for all, we helped and the meal was shared by everyone at the same giant table, whether they were guests, volunteers, owners or workers.
There were no individual tables for any of the meals, it was a time of sharing and fun conversation between all.
Work
I had never worked with people with disabilities and it was a challenge. Our work was to check if they made the bed, if they washed their teeth, if they took a bath, etc. They were all autonomous. The outdoor activities were to go with them to the beach and swim a lot in the morning. The afternoon was filled with paintings, music, cookies, and educational games to stimulate their abilities. Visiting a gelataria nearby was their favorite activity ... and ours!
Fun
In addition to the two days off, I still stayed another 5 days after volunteering. I rented a car and the first day I went straight north to the island. The following days until the return were spent to cross the entire west coast of Sardinia. I do not think I've ever seen so many shades of blue in the same sea. When I liked a place I spent the night. Nothing too programmed, I rented rooms, slept in a borrowed tent and even spent a night in the car ... ups!
I walked with no destination with the certainty that I made the best choices on the way to the South. Again, for those who love sun paradises and the warm sea ... can not miss the Amazing Sardinia.
